Joining hands with volunteers to care for our community
Our model combines the provision of essential support through our Warm welcome Space with practical assistance such as food boxes, creating a holistic approach to community care. We work closely with Birmingham City Council and local partners to identify and support those facing hardship, ensuring that our services reach those who need them most.
As we reflect on our journey, my heart is filled with gratitude for the extraordinary support
we’ve received from our volunteers, supporters, and dedicated team.
Loneliness affects mental and emotional wellbeing, especially for the elderly. Our community spaces offer connection, conversation, and companionship.
From emergency housing repairs to benefit delays, we help bridge gaps. Tailored support ensures no one slips through the cracks.
Many households are struggling to put meals on the table. We provide food boxes and nutritional support to help families through difficult times.
Rising utility bills are forcing families to choose between heating and eating. Our warm spaces help reduce this burden by offering safe, heated environments.
Every contribution, whether time, resources, or skills, helps us continue providing essential support to those who need it most.

From expanding access to warm spaces and distributing essential food boxes to delivering empowering activities and personalised support, our team of staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to meet urgent needs.
“When my heating broke down, I didn’t know where to turn. The Warm Welcome Space meant I had somewhere to stay warm with my two children for a few hours each day. The food box helped us through the worst week, and the volunteers helped me access emergency housing repair services.”
“Living alone on a pension, the rising energy costs were frightening. Coming here three days a week has cut my heating bills, and the hot drinks and company mean more to me than I can say. It’s not just about staying warm – it’s about feeling part of something.”
“As a single dad working part-time, the food box was a lifeline when my benefits were delayed. But what really helped me was the advice session – they helped me sort out my Universal Credit issues and now I’m in a better position.”
A hate crime is any act of violence, abuse, or hostility directed at someone because of who they are — such as their race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability. For many women, this can include verbal threats, physical attacks, online abuse, or intimidation in public spaces.
